In Animal Hospital, yourself, or with up to three other players, play as a worker at a Hospital for animals. The main gameplay consists of checking in animals, scanning them for conditions, and providing the correct treatments. Some of the conditions the animals can face and what their Treatment are. There are also a variety of classes to choose from. You start the game as an Intern, but as you earn animal coins, you can buy new roles, such as Nurse, Secretary, Surgeon, and Doctor. Each role comes with its own unique character skin and abilities. Some roles, like Secret Agent, cost robux.

Anomalies roam the hospital that can attack and hunt patients, visitors, and players. Some of the anomalies you can face are shapeshifters, bed monsters, ghosts, and stalkers. It’s your job to keep the hospital safe, the patients well, and the anomalies to a minimum. You can fend off anomalies by using your taser (unlocked during shift 3) and coffee, which can be brought from the store.
