How To Fix Google Search Console Search String Error | GSC Tutorial 25

This video teaches you How To Fix Google Search Console Search String Error if you are using Yoast SEO plugin, or Rank Math SEO plugin. This video also teaches how to Fix noindex Search Pages in GSC.
Different users can see different types of errors. Common examples are as follows:

/page/*/?s=
/?=(Search_string)
/?(Search_term_string)

In Google Search Console you can see Search String Pages error pages under indexing section and/or under Excluded by 'noindex' tag section. That is, under not indexed section.

First of all, you should understand that where do you want to remove the search term string from? Stopping it from getting crawled or from indexing section?
If you are seeing the search term string error under indexing then you will need to noindex it manually.
In Rank Math SEO Plugin, go to Title & Meta, then go to Misc Pages, and then enable Noindex Search Results.
For Yoast SEO users, you do not need to do anything. Because Yoast SEO plugin does not index search term strings, by default.

This is an internal site search cleanup activity for removing search string, search term string, or internal site search pages from Google Search Console.

Solution for Yoast SEO Users:
At first enable filter search terms in Yoast SEO plugin. Then you have to enable Prevent Crawling of Internal Site Search URLs. That will add a disallow rule to your website's robots.txt file, preventing of crawling of such URLs.

Solution for Rank Math SEO Users:
Since, there isn't a single click option in Rank Math SEO plugin, like the one there is in Yoast.
Therefore, you need to add the following text in Rank Math SEO - Edit Robots.txt file section.

User-agent: *
Disallow: /search
Disallow: /search/
Disallow: /page/*/search
Disallow: /*?s=
